Supply Chain & Sustainability Internship

We want to build a team of champions. That’s why Wavin is currently looking for a Supply Chain & Sustainability Intern to join our Supply Chain team in the Netherlands. Possibilities to combine this internship with a thesis/research can be discussed. The duration of the internship is 4-6 months. As long as the COVID-19 situation continues, the internship will be based on a Working From Home principle. As soon as the situation allows, we offer a work location in our offices in Amsterdam, Zwolle or Hardenberg, the Netherlands. The role

As a Supply Chain & Sustainability Intern you will support the Supply Chain team in developing and implementing the sustainability strategy on distribution in EMEA. You will closely collaborate with the Sustainability team and you will work with various stakeholders, such as manufacturing and operations, while having visibility in our organization.

You will be part of a dynamic, international team and guided by the Director EMEA Supply Chain Wavin, who is based in Denmark. The Supply Chain team is a hands-on team at the core of our organization. This internship is a great opportunity for a starting professional with project management skills.


  • Gathering data in 25 countries within the EMEA region
    • on CO2 emission on road transport (covering: legislation, developments, options and opportunities) to provide for a CO2 neutral distribution.
    • on how EMEA countries are working with CO2 emission on road transport, how this will develop and what options there are for offering a CO2 neutral distribution.
  • Support the Supply Chain and Sustainability team with other activities if required.
  • Collaborate with various internal teams to further embed the sustainability strategy in the organization.


  • A Bachelor/Master student in Supply Chain / Logistics / Sustainability / Environment Studies, International Business/Relations or similar studies.
  • Someone who is a truly committed project member with a powerful can-do mentality and an affinity with sustainability.
  • Moreover, he or she needs to possess strong communication skills and a commercial mindset combined with strong analytical thinking.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Eagerness to learn, open to feedback.
  • Creative, brings in new ideas.
