The SDG and Community Impact team:

We are collaborating with Universities, NGO’s, politicians, trade associations and other stakeholders to make a positive impact to the world. We engage our employees in both social and environmental sustainability projects. We encourage everyone to step in and take responsibility.

In this internship you will be part of the SDG and Community Impact BENELUX team. This team formally consists of 10 people. However, you will be fully embedded in the internal and external J&J and SDG landscape.

What intern assignment do we have for you?

• SDG ambassador: You will take an active role in the SDG community within J&J and be an internal SDG ambassador. You will develop communication materials and spread the word. You will inform, inspire and engage your colleagues.
• Project management: One of our SDG focus pillars is Children and Education, because we believe that education can break socio-economical barriers and as such contribute to health equity. In this internship you will collaborate with our partners from IMC Weekendschool and Platform Talent voor Technologie. You will develop an interactive guest lecture on medicine development for primary school children. The focus of this course will be the different professions involved in medicine development, to inspire children in their career path.
• Corporate social responsibility: In our race to health equity, we focus on three areas: 1. Children and Education, 2. Support health care workers and caregivers, and 3. Improve access to health. You will be taken along in our team activities and depending on your interests and expertise, you will take up ad hoc tasks to help our team achieve our goals.
Student profile

We are looking for a motivated master’s degree student with a passion for social sustainability, who is willing to embrace this opportunity. The candidate should have a team mindset and have strong communication skills. Profiles with different backgrounds will be considered (e.g. management, sustainability, biosciences, psychology, human resources, education,…). Fluency in Dutch and English is required. Knowledge of general computer software is a must (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.), strong computer skills are a plus.

We offer a flexible time-investment from your end, to allow you to combine this internship with your other ongoing study activities. We can think of a 6 to 9 months period, full-time or part-time.

On a monthly basis, you will be invited you to an event where all interns come together, so you get the chance to connect with each other.
